Northeastern Junior College welcomed
more than a dozen new employees during the fall in-service training activities
held on campus on August 16th. Some of the new employees were just
hired in August, others were hired late spring or through the summer months and
were being formally introduced to their colleagues on campus for the first time
last week.
New employees include Kristine
Binder, an accounting technician; Heather Brungardt, director of the college
bookstore; Kimberly Charles, a transition specialist; Laurie Cook, an
administrative assistant in the ag department; Tabitha Foster, an extended
studies coordinator and head softball coach; Vince Galdi, a residence hall
director; Darvis Hurst, a grounds and nursery technician; Judy McFadden,
controller; Colby Reardon, food and beverage manager at the Plainsman Grill;
Benjamin Reichert, residence hall director; John Rhine, custodian; Pam Serrato,
custodian; and Jessica Tjaden, counseling career coach and head volleyball
coach. Joseph Campo, a former NJC Plainsman baseball player has returned to
campus to be a part-time residence hall director and to be an assistant coach
for the baseball program.
In reassignments, Misti Lauer has
assumed to title of director of academic support services. Kelli Reyes is now
overseeing the Adult Basic Education programming. Jessica Buckmaster , an
administrative assistant in Extended Studies is now also overseeing facilities
use on campus, being responsible for booking rooms and scheduling use of
facilities. Jeff Schiel who has been an adjunct instructor teaching in some
specialized areas, will teach full time now as he takes on the criminal justice
classes. Classes started on campus on Tuesday.
