Photo display honors Nebraska’s fallen soldiers
SIDNEY, Neb. (Aug. 15, 2014) – Cabela’s Incorporated, the World’s Foremost Outfitter® of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, has partnered with the city of Sidney to host the traveling memorial photo exhibit, “Remembering Our Fallen,” at Cabela’s Sidney store through Aug. 20.
“Remembering Our Fallen” was created by Patriotic Productions of Omaha, Neb., to honor the more than 80 Nebraskans who have lost their lives while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces in Afghanistan and Iraq since 2001. It is financially sponsored by Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb.
“We can never forget those who sacrificed everything for our freedom. We must remember these American Heroes and speak their names when we see their family members,” said Dr. Mary Hawkins, president of Bellevue University. “This exhibit is created so it can travel easily throughout Nebraska, so that more people will have the opportunity to honor and remember Nebraska’s Fallen.”
The exhibit will be on display at Cabela’s Sidney store during regular business hours through Aug. 20. Store hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
