Re: Master Chorale Spring Concert XXI
The Master Chorale will be sharing their 21st
year with its Spring Concert XXI. The
concert will be performed under the
direction of Don Johnson at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, May 6, 2012, at the Dorothy Corsberg Theater, Northeastern
Junior College, Sterling, CO.
Featuring music from American Composers, the Master Chorale
will open the program with “Colorado Trail.”
They will continue with “Poor Man Lazrus,” “Elijah Rock,” “God Bless the
Child,” “Go Down Moses,” “Behold Man” featuring the Men of the Chorale,
“Alleluia,” “The Last Words of David,” “Georgy Girl,” “The Impossible Dream”
Annette Lambrecht directing and
featuring the Women of the Chorale. The first half closes with music from “West
Side Story.”
The second half will feature “Zion’s Walls,” “Ye Followers
of the Lamb,” “Ching-A-Ring-Chaw,” “Stomp Your Foot,” “We Shall Overcome,”
“Shenandoah.” A piano solo “The Union”
will be performed by Mary Smith. The Chorale will continue with patriotic
music, “God Bless America” featuring Don Carey, narrator and Nancy Bohac,
soloist, “America The Beautiful,” and will
close with “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”
