STERLING, COLORADO – On
December 11th,
2013, members of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Sterling
Police Department, accepted a $2000 donation from Wal-Mart for the
Blue Santa Program of Logan County. Once again, with Wal-Mart’s
generous donation, Blue Santa will be working with Cooperating
Ministries to deliver food baskets to members of the community as
well as making a donation of food to Cooperating Ministries.
Wal-Mart’s donation is
also used for free cocoa and cinnamon rolls that will be offered to
those who meet with Blue Santa at this year’s Blue Santa Event. The
event will be held on December 14th,
2013 at the Old Logan County Courthouse located in the 300 block of
Main St. Sterling. The event starts at 10 A.M. and finishes at 1:00
P.M.
The Logan County Sheriff’s
Office and Sterling Police Department welcomed Blue Santa into Logan
County in 2009. Since then the event has enjoyed great success,
offering a positive opportunity for children in the community to meet
local law enforcement officers, providing food during the holidays,
and aiding in a strong relationship between the public and law
enforcement.
The Logan County Sheriff’s
Office and the Sterling Police Department wish to thank Wal-Mart for
their continued generosity.
