STERLING, COLORADO- The Logan County Sheriff’s Office regrets to inform of the passing of Sheriff’s Posse member, Deputy R. Scott Gerlach. Deputy Gerlach was involved in a fatal car accident while off-duty in Weld County.
Scott was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, friend, scout leader, and deputy. He woke up every day with a smile and literally 20 hours later when going to sleep had that same smile. His work ethic and service to the community is unsurpassed.
A funeral for Scott will be held at the Church of Ladder Day Saints, 513 N. 7th Avenue in Sterling, on Friday, May 30th, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. Donations are being accepted at Boondocks, 324 N. 4th Street in Sterling.
