Public Meet Up March 3 Regarding Construction in Sterling

Scott Contracting will be hosting an information meeting about the upcoming construction on State Highway 14 from N. 9th Avenue to County Road 35 in Sterling. Scott Contracting will be upgrading the storm water drainage system, installing a new domestic waterline, and repaving the road. To learn how the construction will affect your home or business, stop by the Sterling Recreation Center Monday, March 3 from 5-7pm.

Chestnut Street Pavement Repair in Sterling

The City of Sterling will begin the 400 Block Chestnut Street Pavement Repair Project the week of October 29, 2012.  The proposed construction schedule may be adjusted depending on the weather conditions of each day.  The City of Sterling Street Division and Yost Construction is the contractor performing this construction work and cooperation is requested from residents adjacent to the work area.  Upon notice, only eastbound local traffic will be allowed in the 400 Black of Chestnut Street, please remove vehicles and place on nearest adjacent street.  Please arrange to keep your vehicles off of the street when posted.  Thru traffic will be required to use Highway 14 or Highway 6 during the pavement repair.

If your vehicle is left on the street it will be towed to the next block over or around corner.  Motorists can expect closures in the 400 Block of Chestnut Street until November 10, 2012.

City of Sterling - Lincoln Street Water System Improvements

The City of Sterling will begin the Lincoln Street Water System Improvement Project the week of September 24.  The proposed construction schedule may be adjusted depending on the weather conditions of each day.  Concrete Specialties and Utilities Construction, Inc. is the contractor performing this construction work and cooperation is requested from residents adjacent to the work area.  Upon notice of closing the street, please remove vehicles and place on nearest adjacent street.  Please arrange to keep you vehicles off the street when posted.

IF VEHICLE IS LEFT ON THE STREET, IT WILL BE TOWED TO THE NEXT BLOCK OVER OR AROUND CORNER.  Motorists can expect detours and street closures on Lincoln Street between S. 6th Ave and S. Division Ave until November 30, 2012.
