The Northeastern Junior College Livestock Judging Team finished its 2010-2011 season with one of the best records of late. Being named fourth overall at the prestigious Houston Livestock Show marked the end of a very successful year. NJC finished the national collegiate judging circuit being recognized as one of the top programs in the country. The team members, collectively and or individually, had scored high enough to be listed among the top ten at every one of the major contests in the country including Louisville, Fort Worth, Denver and Kansas City. In addition to having a stellar year as a team, NJC is honored to have had Derrick Brown of Fort Collins and Weston Charles of Flagler be named National Junior and Community College Livestock Judging All-American award recipients. This award is given to the top 15 students in the nation based on a combination of grade point average and results in the national contests throughout the year.
