2nd Annual Bicycle Safety Event June 9 in Ft. Morgan

***Release***

Morgan County Ambulance Service is planning for the 2nd Annual Bicycle Safety Event and we need your help! The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 9 from 9:00 to noon at Ehrlich Toyota East in Ft. Morgan. This event provides kids with the traffic rules for safe riding, how to properly size and wear their helmets, and also gives them several different bike courses to ride through and practice safe stopping and signaling. It gives kids three hours of safe riding experience, off the busy streets of their own neighborhoods to perfect their skills and teach them some new ones.

We are asking for donations from businesses and individuals. Last year we gave away two new bikes, several used bikes, many helmets, reflective gear, fast food coupons, water bottles, popcorn, popsicles, drinking water and other items.

This year we need more used bikes and helmets that are in good condition. It is garage sale season, so please keep your eyes open for any we can use. Any other donations are also appreciated, and any cash donations will be used to purchase bikes, helmets, reflective gear, and other items that will help the kids stay safe while riding.

Donations can be dropped off at the Morgan County Ambulance Service 1000 East Railroad Avenue, Ft. Morgan, or call 768-2606 and your donations can be picked up from you if you are not able to drop them off.
