Upcoming Programs at Sterling Public Library

Sterling Public Library’s will provide our Daring to Dream program on Monday, June 18th at 2:00 p.m. This week we will be learning about Lewis and Clark. The two men explored the area that is now northwestern United States. The men traveled about 8000 miles and had many adventures. The program is for kids of all ages. Kids will be doing a sand art craft that follows the theme. During Inspiring Art Challenge on Tuesday, June 19th 10 to 15 year olds will explore the art of journaling. The group will make and decorate their own journals. Kids must register for this program and may do so by coming in or calling the library at 522-2023. Wednesday, June 20th is movie night at the library. The movie will begin at 7:00 p.m. We will be showing a movie that is good for the entire family. Snacks will be served, but bring your own drink. Remember participating in the Summer Reading Program has many benefits. It has been shown that by the end of fifth grade, students who do not read during the summer are behind their peers by two years on average.
