Sterling Public Library Programs for Week of July 9

This week our programs will have an Olympic theme.  Our Daring to Dream program on Monday, July 9th at 2:00 p.m. will feature a very special group of young ladies known as the Hoopligans.  Two sisters, Joy and Sam Watts and Katara Haagensen have been performing together for a few of years.  Two of the girls started in 2007 after they saw a group at a band concert.

The title of the program is Dreams to be in the Circus.  The Hoopligans hula hoop with hoops that glow in LED bright colors and perform tricks.  They have performed in many places and enjoy teaching kids how to hula hoop.  They are silly and have great fun entertaining.

Our Inspiring Art Challenge will be working with metal art this week.  The kids will make their own special designs on their choice of gold, silver or bronze metal.  You must register and be between the age of 10 and 15 to attend this program.  You may register by calling the library at 522-2023.

On Wednesday, July 11th we have Movie Night at the Library starting at 7:00 p.m.  The movie will be appropriate for all ages.

Our Dream Big – Toddlers program is on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.  Connie will share stories with children under the age of 3.  They also will have a special craft during the program.
