Sterling Public Library Celebrates National Library Card Sign-Up Month

Sterling Public Library is celebrating National Library Card Sign-up month with “Tie One On”.  During the month each time you use your library card we will tie a colorful ribbon on one of the trees in front of the library.  This means you can help us add ribbons to the trees by checking out a book, magazine, CD, DVD, downloading a book or audio from Overdrive, downloading a song from Freegal or using a computer at the library.  Our goal is to have 8000 uses at the end of September.  We hope that everyone will come in and use their library card and be a part of the colorful display you help us create.

If you don’t have a library card we encourage you to stop in and get a card and join in the celebration.  To get a library card you need ID with your current address.  Children under 18 requires a parent’s signature to get a card.  Your first library card is free and the smartest card you’ll have.
