Logan County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade December 6


It is time to start planning our Christmas Parade for 2012! This year the theme is Christmas on the Prairie, sponsored by the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Sterling, Inc.

Thursday, December 6th, 2012, 6:00 p.m.
Accepting Lighted Parade Entries: Floats, Bands, Autos, Individuals and Groups
Accepting Booths: Hot Cocoa, Baked Goods, etc.
Cash Prizes for Top Float Entries 
  • No Entry Fee necessary. Parade entrants assemble in the Union Pacific lot at Front and Main Streets directly east of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce at 5:00 p.m. 12/6/12.
  • Your entry must be lit up with Christmas lights, powered by battery or generator. Example: Flashlight, glow-in-the-dark or affixed to the vehicle's electrical system.
  • Walkers may throw candy, not from float. WATCH CAREFULLY FOR CHILDREN IN STREET!
  • The ONLY SANTA will be provided by the parade committee.
  • Parade Route: Front Street and Main, North on Front Street to Poplar, West on Poplar to 4th Street, South on 4th Street to Main Street, East on Main Street to Front Street.
  • Organizations wishing to have a booth selling hot beverages/food to the public will be       assigned a location in various parts of Downtown.

Hot cocoa will be served in the Chamber lobby from 5:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. for parade
participants only.
