Staff Report
Long considered one of the
favorite holiday shows of the year by area art connoisseurs, Northeastern Junior
College (NJC) is once again hosting its Annual NJC Holiday Faculty Art
Exhibition in the Peter L. Youngers Fine Art Gallery of E.S. French Hall on
NJC’S main campus.
The exhibit showcases the work of
current and retired NJC faculty and staff. Among the exhibiting artists this
year are Neil Browne, Joyce May, Jesse Moreno, Larry Prestwich, Penny Skoglund,
Emily Vines, and Peter Youngers.
The exhibition includes works in
ceramic, stained glass, pen and ink, watercolor, photography, 3-D sculpture and
much more. It is open for public viewing from November 25 through December 13
from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The exhibit
is free and those who come to view it are able to just enjoy time in the
gallery, on their own, surrounded by beautiful art.
A reception with the artists will
be open free of charge to the public on Thursday, December 6th from 4
p.m. to 5 p.m. Refreshments will be provided along with holiday performances by
NJC music students.
Select artworks and stained glass
ornaments are also available for sale throughout this exhibition and make great
gifts for family and friends. If you have questions or need further information
