City of Sterling Pavilion Reservations for 2013 Begin Jan 2

***Press Release***

On January 2, 2012, the City of Sterling will begin taking reservations for 2013 use of the park pavilions.  The reservation system allows park users to confirm exclusive use of pavilion space for a specific date and time.  The reservation system is very popular and approximately 200 reservation permits were issued during the past year.  Interested parties should make reservations as soon as possible, as many dates in May, June, and July fill up quickly.

There are two pavilions at Pioneer Park; two pavilions at Columbine Park, on pavilion at Propst Park, one pavilion at Wisdom Park, and two pavilions at Prairie Park that are available for reservations.

Park users should be aware that the pavilions may be reserved from 8am-3pm or 5-11pm and they should check times and dates of the reservations posted at each of the pavilions.  The cost to reserve either time is $27 or $54 for the entire day.  Additional fees apply to the serving area at the Prairie Park pavilion.  Reserving parties are also asked to have their copy of the reservation permit in possession.  Unreserved pavilion space is available to the public for "drop in" use on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Interested individuals, or organizations, are asked to complete a written application on a Pavilion Reservation form, which is available at the Department of PLR, upstairs in City Hall, 421 North 4th St.  Applications can also be printed from the City's website at www.sterlingcolo.com.  Applications must be received no later than 5pm, two working days(Mon-Fri) in advance of the reservation.  Dates will not be reserved until the signed application and the fee is received.

For additional information, or to reserve an application by mail, please contact the PLR Department, 522-9700.
