Centennial Mental Health Center to offer NAMI Family to Family Education Program starting 2/20

Centennial Mental Health Center will be offering a free NAMI Family to Family Education Program beginning February 20 from 6-9pm at 211 W. Main Street in Sterling.  The NAMI Family to Family Education Program is a 12-week course for family caregivers of individuals with severe mental illness.  Focus will be on care for the caregiver, acquiring additional strategies for problem solving, handling crisis and relapse situations, listening and communication techniques, and medication adherence.  The course is taught by trained family members who have  learned to cope successfully with major challenges in their lives. Centennial Mental Health provides behavioral health services to individuals in Cheyenne, Elbert, Kit Carson, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, and Yuma Counties.  For more information contact Michelle McCauley or Sandi Owens at (970) 522-4392.
