Tickets are now on sale for the 16th Annual “Your Heart, Our Hands”
benefit, sponsored by the Northern Colorado Chapter of the American Red Cross,
which includes Phillips County.
This year’s event, to be held on Fri.,
April 12 at the Sterling Elks Lodge, will also feature music by Steve Manshel,
award winning performer and veteran of the legendary group
“Firefall.”
Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by
a 6:30 p.m. dinner catered by Jimmy L.
The evening will culminate with the popular
live auction, featuring a variety of authenticate sports memorabilia, including
a basketball signed by the University of Colorado basketball team that just
competed in the NCAA tournament, and items from the Colorado Rockies and Denver
Broncos plus other sports teams.
During the event, and following, Manshel
will be entertaining, including performing two special songs he has written just
for the Red Cross.
Manshel is an award winning
singer/song-writer/guitarist, and veteran of the legendary group, “Firefall”
(‘You are the Woman,’ ‘Just Remember I Love You’ etc.)
His energetic blend of musicianship, humor
and wide range of music genres provide fun and excitement, whether performing
solo or with his band. He has toured internationally and has appeared on TNN and
VH1. He has shared the stage with artists including The Doobie Brothers,
Foreigner, America, Orleans, Three Dog Night, Poco, Ambrosia, Little River Band,
The Marshall Tucker Band, Diamond Rio and countless others. Manshel has
performed in such notable venues including Fiddler's Green, House of Blues, Mile
High Stadium, Red Rocks, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Jimmy
Buffet's Margaritaville as well as state and county fairs across the United
States.
The annual benefit is funded in part by the

Proceeds from the evening are used to help
the Red Cross continue to provide local services including disaster services,
supporting America’s military families, and heath and safety training and
education.

disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation's blood; teaches skills that
save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military
