NJC offering Kids College again this year

***NJC Press Release***

The Extended Studies Department at Northeastern Junior College is once again offering a complete line up of classes geared toward children as part of the 2011 Kids College activities. Classes for students grades second through eighth will be offered during June and July on the campus.

From learning about money and budgeting, to nutrition, golf, puppetry, Spanish and dog obedience, the class list once again includes the very popular cooking, dog obedience and horse course classes. Additions this year include a vet science class, training on yoga, a month-long junior golf program and several different types of art classes. The class lengths vary and costs range from $20 to $75 depending on the topic being covered.

A complete list of the courses is available online at www.njc.edu/Extended-Studies/Kids-College. Registration for these classes must be done in advance and needs to be done in person. You’ll want to act quickly as some of the classes fill up fast. To register, visit the NJC Extended Studies Office located on the third floor of Knowles Hall (library building) on campus between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pre-payment is also required for all classes at the time of registration. Due to this requirement, no phone or mail-in registrations are accepted.
