Northeastern Junior College is offering a repeat of the very popular Parenting with Love and Logic Class during the month of June, on Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on the main campus. This parenting course, developed by the Love and Logic Institute, Inc., is designed to help you find specific answers and actions for some of those difficult moments in child rearing. If you are a parent dreading the approaching summer because of the struggles that come with parenting that seem to feel almost insurmountable as you begin spending increased hours with your children, this class may be just what you need to change your home environment.
The course covers numerous, simple techniques which are effective with all children, from toddler to teens. Instructor is Carole Meier. If you are a resident of Logan, Phillips or Sedgwick counties, and you have a child under the age of 8, your class fee will be paid by the Early Childhood Council Logan, Phillips, Sedgwick (ECCLPS). This offer is limited to the first 15 registered and there are still some openings yet available. Otherwise the cost to attend is $60 plus a $10 book. You need to register for this class by Friday, May 27th. To register, call the Extended Studies office at NJC at 521-6900.
