Sterling Public Library To Provide Free, Downloadable Music

***City of Sterling Press Release***

Sterling Public Library now provides downloadable music to anyone with a library card in good standing. Sterling Public Library joined with Library Ideas’ Network to offer access to songs from Sony Music’s catalog of legendary artists.

The service will allow Sterling Public Library to increase the size and diversity of its collection by offering access to hundreds of thousands of songs. Sony Music Entertainment is a global recorded music company with a roster of current artists that includes a broad array of both local artists and international superstars.

Under the agreement, registered library card holders of Sterling Public Library can download up to 3 songs per week. The Friends of the Library are providing the financial commitment for this service through the end of the year.

To access the site for downloading go to http://www.sterlingcolo.com/?page_id=843. Here you will find the link to begin your downloading.

The service will deliver great music, compatibility with lots of devices and simplicity for use. We think this will be an incredibly popular service with our patrons.
