Cosmetology center opens October 24th

The Northeastern Junior College cosmetology center will open for public appointments beginning Monday, October 24th. Students in training will be providing hair, skin and nail services at a minimal price as they work to earn their required hands-on hours in order to be able to take the state licensure exam next summer. They provides services to women, men and children.

Students must earn 1800 clock hours/60 Credits as required by the Colorado Cosmetology/Barber Board for state licensing examination eligibility. Upon successful completion of the program students earn a certificate and become eligible to register for the state exam.

The center is typically open for appointments from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasionally there is a day the center is closed as the students are gone to competition, attending hair shows or have guest lecturers on campus doing special training.
