Logan County Sheriff's Office Makes Meth Arrests

Sterling, Colorado – After lengthy investigations, two Sterling men were arrested on charges of Meth Distribution. Owen Fisher, DOB 10/16/82, was arrested on 11/10/11 on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance 18-18-403.5(2)(b)(I) a class 6 felony, and Unlawful Distribution, Manufacture, Dispense or Sell Schedule II 18-18-405, a class 3 felony. Fisher was held at the Logan County Detention Center on the charges.

Oscar Gomez Jr., DOB 2/26/62, in an unrelated investigation, was arrested on 11/9/11 on a Logan County Sheriff’s Office warrant for Unlawful Distribution, Manufacture, Dispense, or Sell Schedule II 18-18-405, a class 3 felony and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance 18-18-403.5 a class 6 felony. Gomez was held at the Logan County Detention Center on those charges.

In a separate investigation...

On 11/18/11, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the 13th Judicial District Probation’s Department initiated an investigation into a possible drug violation. After the initial investigation, a search warrant was obtained by the Sheriff’s Office for 521 Lily Lane in Sterling. A canine unit from Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the execution of the warrant.

After the warrant execution and investigation was complete, Shalon E. Morales, DOB 2/8/87, was arrested on charges of 18-18-403.5 Unlawful Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, a class 6 felony, 18-18-428 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a class 2 petty offense, and 18-6-803.5 Violation of a Protection Order, a class 1 misdemeanor.

Also arrested during the incident was Glen Koch, DOB 6/14/65, on charges of 18-18-428 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a class 2 petty offense, and 18-18-403.5 Unlawful Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, a class 6 felony.

Both were held at the Logan County Detention Center on the above charges.
