***NJC Press Release***
Many young people in this area find summer employment working around water as lifeguards or in other water safety capacities. That’s why Northeastern Junior College’s Extended Studies program is once again offering its summer Water Safety School from May 31st to June 3rd. In past years this school has drawn students from all over the state. Much of the hands-on training takes place at the Sterling municipal swimming pool.
To make plans for the necessary instruction for this event, NJC is requiring that students who want to complete this training get registered by Wednesday, April 13th. Students will take a pre-test on May 1st. There is a brochure which provides more details about the program, and a registration form online at this website: http://www.njc.edu/Extended-Studies/Water-Safety-School.
You may also call the Extended Studies Department at 521-6900 with questions.
