Sterling Public Library to Offer Inspiring Art Challenge

***Press Release***

Sterling Public Library is again offering a special program for kids age 10 through 15 called Inspiring Art Challenge.  This is an eight week program that focuses on different art techniques each week.  The classes will be held on Tuesdays at 3:00 and last at least 1 hour.  These classes will be more in-depth than the usual programs offered during the summer, teaching them various skills and techniques needed to complete a project. You may attend any or all of the programs. You must register for each class individually.  Registration begins the Wednesday before the class.  You may call 522-2023 to register.  Classes are limited to 25.

Our first program will be June 5th.  We will be learning about Sabato Rodia and the Watts Towers.  Mr. Rodia constructed a dream like complex of towers that were composed mainly of what had once been refuse.  You will learn more about his work and construct your own tower during the program.
