Registration is underway for the upcoming City of Sterling Girls Youth Volleyball Program. The program is available to girls 2nd through 6th grade. Beginning this year, players must play in their grade division and they may not play up a division.
Individual registration forms are available at the Sterling Recreation Center, Pro Sports in Sterling, and upstairs at the Department of Parks, Library, and Recreation Office in City Hall
Fee: is $30 per player for all divisions and includes a team t-shirt that is to be worn for the games during the season
Season: 6 games for all grade divisions. Practices cannot begin until the week of August 26. Games are played on Saturday at Sterling Middle School and Northeastern Junior College, starting September 22
Deadline: to enter is Wednesday August 15. Registration forms and fees may be mailed to or dropped off at the Sterling Recreation Center, 808 Elm St., Sterling, CO 80751. Sterling Recreation Center hours are: Monday Wednesday Friday 5:30am-9pm; Tuesday and Thursday 7am-9pm; Saturday 11:30am-9pm; Sunday 1-6pm.
C.A.R.A. rules with some modifications will govern play. Teams will practice once a week after school or in the early evening at the elementary and middle schools. Volunteer coaches are needed to conduct the program.
