Northeast Colorado Health Department Healthy Child Clinic October 30 in Sterling

Northeast Colorado Health Department is holding a Healthy Child Clinic on Wednesday, October 30 from 9am-3pm at their office in Sterling, located at 700 Columbine Street. This clinic is for all children, age 6 months to 5 years and offers many free screenings, such as vision, hearing, developmental, height, weight, social/emotional, speech, and dental. Logan County Sheriff’s Office investigates the death of a 3 year old child

Last week, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a citizen concerned for the well-being of a young child that had not been seen for an extended period of time. Further investigation led to the issuance of a search warrant for a residence in Sterling, Colorado. That search resulted in the body of a child being recovered. An autopsy is pending.

A suspect has been identified and an arrest warrant issued. No further information can be released at this time.
