The Sterling Miracle Players Summer Acting Camp for kids, Disney's "The Little Mermaid Jr," will be held in June and July. The camp is for kids in grades K-8. Children will be involved in learning all aspects of producing a show, such as costumes, stage makeup, set design, and more! The registration deadline is June 20, or cost goes up to $55 for late registration, which is due June 24. The registration fee includes a daily snack, keepsake script, and a simple costume that the kids will help make. Rehearsals start June 23, with performances on July 18 and 19. Hershey's Track & Field Games June 14 in Ft. Morgan

The Hershey’s Track & Field Games for youths age 9 to 14 will return to Fort Morgan Saturday, June 14, at Legion Field.
The free event includes basic track and field competition for boys and girls, with the goal of promoting physical fitness and participation. There are no qualification requirements, and parents can register online or at Legion Field on the day of the event. The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Saturday
Events include the 50-meter dash, 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 800-meter run and 1,600-meter run, as well as 4x100-meter relays, standing long jump and softball throw.
Winners have the chance to advance to regional or state events, and may have the chance to be selected to travel to the North American Final in Hershey, Pa., in August.

NCHD Healthy Child Clinic June 11 in Sterling
Northeast Colorado Health Department is holding a Healthy Child Clinic on Wednesday, June 11 from 9am-2:30pm at their office in Sterling, located at 700 Columbine Street. This clinic is for all children, age 6 months to 5 years and offers many FREE screenings, such as vision, hearing, developmental, height, weight, social/emotional, speech, and dental. Little Lambs Preschool Registration Night May 29 in Fort Morgan
Little Lambs, Trinity Early Learning Center will be hosting a Preschool Registration Night on Thursday, May 29th from 5-7pm. Registrations are being taken for summer and fall sessions. Youth Entrepreneurship Camp for Phillips and Sedgwick Counties June 23-26
A Youth Entrepreneurship Camp for 5-7th grade students in Phillips and Sedgwick Counties will be held June 23-26 from 9am-3pm at the Sedgwick and Phillips County Fairgrounds. Sterling Public Library Marvelous Monday Program April 21

Sterling Public Library will hold the Marvelous Monday program on Monday, April 21 at 6:30pm. The program will celebrate Earth Day with Dr. Seuss. Denise will read the Lorax and take a picture walk through several other books. The craft project for the evening will include Dr. Seuss’ Lorax.
The One Book 4 Colorado program in which all 4 year olds can get a free book continues through April 21st. Sterling Public Library staff will be at McDonalds on Thursday, April 17th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to read the book and hand it out to all 4 year olds. The book being given out this year is Grumpy Bird by Jeremy Tankard. Children may also stop in the library during all library hours to pick up their book through April 21st.

Sterling Public Library Crafty Characters April 7

Sterling Public Library will have Crafty Characters on Monday, April 7 from 4-5pm. This month the theme is “Bring on the Rain”. The kids will be making rain sticks.
Sterling Public Library is participating in One Book 4 Colorado program again this year. This program gives each 4 year old a book to take home. The event kicks off on April 7th and runs through April 21st. The title of the book will be revealed on April 7th by Governor Hickenlooper and Lt. Governor Garcia. To kick off the event Sterling Public Library will hold a special Story Time on April 7th at 6:30pm. Kids of all ages can enjoy stories and a craft and 4 year olds will get to take home their book. On Thursday, April 17th Sterling Public Library will be at McDonalds in Sterling from 5-6pm. The Library will read the book and hand it out to 4 year olds. McDonalds restaurants are a state wide sponsor of the event.

Overland Trail Museum in Sterling Presents “A Presidential Showdown: Honest Abe vs. The Father of our Country” Feb 15

better way to kick off the President’s Day weekend than to head out to the
Overland Trail Museum and attend “A Presidential Showdown: Honest Abe vs. The
Father of our Country,” on Saturday, February 15 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. This fun,
informative and festive President’s Day children’s program will be jam-packed
with history, games, treats and surprises, as the participants will try to determine
whether George Washington or Abraham Lincoln was our nation’s greatest leader.
“A Presidential Showdown” is recommended for children ages 5-11, and the
regular museum admission of $1.50 for children and $3.00 for adults applies.
