Hospice of the Plains 15th Annual Charity Tournament August 30

The 15th Annual Hospice of the Plains Charity Tournament, 2 person scramble, will be held Saturday, August 30 at the Wray Golf Course. Register by 8:30am with a 9am shotgun start. Cost is $40 per person and includes a golf towel, lunch, and beverage. To register or reserve a cart call 970-332-5934. Proceeds benefit patient care and bereavement services to offset $350,000 yearly unreimbursed patient care expenses.

Wray Daze Registration and Other Information

Wray Daze registration forms deadline nearing
Wray Daze is just under three weeks away so now is the time to reserve your booth space for Friday night’s Fun Night and the other scheduled events. The dates for this year’s celebration are July 25, 26 and 27.
To register for booth space, enter the parade or have a team in Sunday’s mud volleyball tournament go to www.wraychamber.net and print off the online registration forms. The forms may be dropped off at the Chamber office or at Bonanza Ford. There is a $20 fee for booth space if you are a Wray Chamber member. The fee is $30 if you are not a member. Booth spaces are available on a first-come basis. The cost of the volleyball tournament is $60 per team and is limited to the first 32 teams that turn in a paid registration form. There is no charge for entering the parade but you must register your entry to be eligible to participate.
A complete list of events will be available soon and can be seen at the Chamber’s website as well as in the Wray Gazette and heard on AM1440 KRDZ.

Food Vendors
If you are planning to have a food booth during the Wray Daze celebration you must be registered with the Northeast Colorado Health Department. Those who do not register, and do not have a mobile registration through the health department, will not be allowed to participate. To have your questions answered about these regulations please call Heather with the NCHD at 970-848-3811.
Entertainment Selected
The Chamber of Commerce board has selected a very popular band from northeast Colorado as the Friday night Main Street entertainment.
RETRO is mostly an 80's tribute band but does some 70's and early 90's music as well.
They are very high energy performers complete with outfits, props and full stage design.
Each set is different with different outfits as well. RETRO has performed at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Greeley Stampede,
Nebraskaland Days, Scottsbluff County Fair, Logan County Fair, Oregon Trail Days, Johnstown BBQ Days and many more and have performed corporate parties for such companies as Budweiser, Whole Foods, 7-11, KOOL 105, The Group Real Estate and a long list of others. This is the ultimate party band so wear your 80's outfit
and join the fun! 
RETRO is made up of Tracy Allen Knapp, Mike Brown, Laura Gosenca and Adam Gosenca.
The show will begin Friday at approximately 6:30 and run until the fireworks are fired off around 9:30.

Planned Electrical Outage For Wray June 29

Residents of Wray, Colorado will be experiencing an electrical outage Sunday, June 29. This outage is scheduled to begin at 1:30pm and is expected to last through 5:30pm. The outage will affect only the City of Wray customers. Y-W Electric members in the rural areas surrounding Wray will not be affected. The City of Wray appreciates the patience and understanding of the residents as this system improvement project is carried out, and apologize for any inconvenience caused by the outage.

Build A Website Seminar in Wray June 5

Small Business Development Center is having a workshop "Website 101: Build a Website in 90 Minutes" on Thursday, June 5th from 10:00am - 12:00pm. This free presentation will walk you through the process to create a basic website, as well as how to edit and maintain the website. It will be held at the Morgan Community College Wray Campus in Computer Lab #5. Space is limited and registration is required. Denver Broncos Mile High Salute To Fans Tour Stops in Holyoke and Wray

The second annual Mile High Salute to Fans Tour, presented by U.S. Bank, McDonald’s and Pinnacol Assurance, will be hitting the road this April to thank Broncos fans all across Colorado. The 2014 tour in total will visit 20 cities in six days. On Tuesday, April 15th the tour will be in Northeast Colorado. Fans are invited to attend at Holyoke High School from 1-2 PM, or Wray High School from 4-5 PM. This FREE tour will include autographs and photos with Broncos players, cheerleaders and Miles the Mascot.

Birthday Bash Boot Camp April 12 in Wray

Saturday, April 12th is the Birthday Bash Boot Camp from 8-9:30 AM. The cost is $10 per session. Dani Rockwell, Liz Gillham and Thomas Hoff will be instructing. Boot camp addresses all areas of fitness including: fat/weight loss, full body strength, muscular/cardio endurance, balance, flexibility, agility and much more! Push yourself out of your comfort zone.

MCC Wray Center Nurses Aide Courses

MCC Wray Center will be holding Nurses Aide Courses starting June 3 and running through July 21. There are prerequisites that you need in order to enroll, and class size is limited to the first 10 students with prerequisites completed by June 2. Wray Child Find Development Screening March 7

Wray Child Find will take place on Friday, March 7th from 8:30am- 3pm at Wray Preschool. This is a free development screening including vision, hearing and speech for 3-5 year olds. CHS Harvest for Hunger Dance March 1 in Wray

CHS Harvest for Hunger will be hosting a dance at Wray Elks Lodge on Saturday, March 1st from 8pm-12am. Admission cost is at least 1 non perishable food item or monetary donation per person (all money donated will be doubled by CHS). Must be 21 years of age or older. Community First Aid and CPR Starting March 1 in Wray

EMS Education announces Community First Aid & CPR designed to prepare you for certification in Adult/Child/Infant CPR & Community First Aid. The course will be held at MCC Wray Center beginning Saturday, March 1st from 8am-4pm. The final cost is $138.20 (book not included). You may need to apply for the College Opportunity Fund and/or admission to MCC if you have not attended in the past year. $75 scholarship available to new parents (excepting to 0-6 month(s) old). Encore Life will host an After Hours Social for the Wray Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, February 26th. The Cliff Theater is looking for adult volunteers. It is an awesome opportunity to help a non-profit organization right here in your own community! Cliff Cultural Community Center Oscar Night Event Feb 25 in Wray

The Cliff Cultural Community Center invites you to their Annual Oscar night event: 100 Years At The Movies on Tuesday, February 25th. Please come dressed as your favorite character, actor, or actress from the past 100 years. The evening will begin at 6pm with appetizers followed by an award for the best costume. The Wray Chamber of Commerce will hold a retailer exploratory meeting January 22 at 7:30am at the Riverside Cafe in Wray. Any Wray Chamber of Commerce member whose business is retail is invited to attend.
