NJC offering CPR, first aid training on April 16

The warm months are here and everyone gets more active, meaning that the opportunities for accidents or incidents increases. Maybe you have an employer , or you belong to an organization which has encouraged you to get training in CPR and first aid. You have a chance to do that, all in one day, in a Saturday class offered this month at Northeastern Junior College. The Extended Studies Department will offer an Adult, Child, Infant CPR with First Aid Class on Saturday, April 16th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost of the class if $57. You need to register for it by Wednesday, April 13. To register, call 521-6900.

This course prepares participants to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children under the age of 12. Participants will also learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults. First aid skills for treating a variety of injuries will be addressed. Students completing the day-long training will receive certification. The first aid certificate is valid for two years and the CPR certificate is valid for two years.
